China's equivalent of Angelina Jolie [but this lady also sings] and number one style star Fan Bingbing is always dressed to the nine's. Ever since she was mentioned on Fashion Police last year in the ***** Stole My Look segment looking fabulous in Ellie Saab, I've been obsessed with her style.
J LO vs. Fan Bingbing, both in Ellie Saab. The turban on Fan's head is actualy the same cardigan she's wearing, she just wrapped it around her head and transformed it into amazingly chic headgear because she's Fan Bingbing and who's that creative and awesome. |
I like that she takes risks with her outfits but always ends up looking great no matter what and I like that she wears outfits straight from the runway, which is nice since so many stars these days alter their dresses so they appeal more to the majority who don't really "follow" fashion and who would think it weird for a slit to be in a place other than the thigh or the detailing on dress not matching the colour of the main part of the dress etc. so the dress just ends up looking beautiful rather than strikingly beautiful and fashionable at the same time.
Anyway, last year at the Tokyo Film Festival, Fan wore a stunning two-tone Jason Wu gown, with Christian Louboutin Daffodil heels covered in Swarvoski crystals and looked like the modern-day fashion princess of the century. The look was so glamorous but at the same time, her loose hair and natural make-up made it look effortless and added a different more natural looking beauty to it. The pink aso looks great with her skintone!
The ruffles are lavish and they fall beautifully around her. She did change the neckline of the dress but I think it worked out for the better, because it outlined her body's lovely curves.
The clutch adds to the princess part of her look since it's so sparkly and I love how she [or her stylist] paid such close attention to detail and chose this particular clutch because the hardware is black and so is her belt so they go nicely together. Her bracelet is perfectly simple, as are her rings. The belt adds to the fashionale aspect of the look and adds more definition to her waist.
Her Daffodil Louboutins garnished in Swarvoski crystals.... PRINCESS ALERT!!!
From the Louboutins to the lavish tiers of the dress, this look is unforgettable. If you want to look just as unforgettable and modern day princess-esque you can now find Fan's dress on net-a-porter!!! Yes, the exact ruffled two-tone silk crepe de chine and gazar gown from the runway of Jason Wu is available to buy right now on net-a-porter. You just might need to rob a bank first or maybe request a loan for.... £8,510. VERY expensive I know, but I feel that there are some things in this World that are just so beautiful that the price simply does not matter- this is one of those things for me haha! I would definately buy this dress if I had the money and if I didn't I would ask for a loan, but it's most definately not age appropriate for me unfortuantely :( Maybe in a couple years a kind person would sell it on eBay and I could buy it and feel like a princess, maybe...
